Why I preach Consistency in your Business

FILED IN: Marketing Tips

I know it can be tough, but I will always say that consistency is key in your business. I fully
understand that running a business is hard, and it can be difficult to maintain a consistent online
presence when you have a million other things to worry about. Today on the journal, I am going
to talk about why consistency is so important and how it will significantly benefit your business!

Helps Establish Your Brand
Some of the biggest brands in the world have established the loyalty they have by being
consistent. When you are consistent, you establish exactly who your brand is, what you stand
for, and what people can expect from you. Your consistency creates an identity online for
anyone that follows you or is potentially interested in what you are offering, whether that is a
product or service.

Consistent Content = A Community
You want to be consistent in the content you post, whether that is your products, services,
inspirational posts, or tips and tricks. When you continue to be consistent in the types of things
that you post, your audience will know what to expect when visiting your profiles. If someone is
interested in a particular type of post, they will be more likely to stick around if they know they
will get that from you.

You want to always stay authentic and share what is relevant to your audience. Do not be
scattered in what you are posting. Continue to stick to your niche and the posts that you believe
your audience will find valuable. This is how you create a community. Beyond just posting
consistent content, you also want to have consistent engagement with the people that like,
comment, and follow. If someone comments on your posts, be sure to like their comment or
reply to them. Many social platforms also look to engagement as a way of knowing which posts
to show on people’s feeds. Again, consistency is key!

Aesthetics Are Important
It can be easy to joke about our feeds being pretty, but many people seek out content that is
aesthetically pleasing. When someone comes to your social media profile, they are going to be
more inclined to hit follow and continue engaging if your feed is cohesive. Keeping your posts
within the same color scheme and feel will keep people around if they immediately love the
visuals of your posts.

Regular Posting Makes You Reliable
There is nothing worse than finding someone with incredible content and then they don’t post
for weeks. If possible, I suggest posting every single day. This establishes credibility with your
audience and they will know that they can count on you to continue to provide valuable
content.
